From Brand DNA to a consistent retail expression.

During my time as Senior manager Visual Merchandising & Retail Concepts at Scotch & Soda, I worked during a period of rapid international growth, with the challenge of expanding the retail footprint without losing the distinctive character of the brand.

For me, this meant connecting brand identity, seasonal storytelling, Visual Merchandising and retail execution into one coherent experience one that could be translated across markets while remaining relevant to different store formats and commercial needs.

I led and managed Retail Brand function across creative development, production, VM and supplier management, bringing together the creative and operational disciplines required to turn brand direction into scalable retail execution.

Translating Brand Identity into Retail Experience.

My role.

My role was to establish the direction, develop the capability and build the processes, partnerships and tools that enabled the brand experience to move consistently from concept into stores.

I worked closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Operations and external production partners, ensuring that seasonal campaigns and brand priorities could be translated into compelling, commercially relevant retail experiences.

Building for scale.

A key part of my role was building the operational infrastructure behind the creative experience.

I established scalable retail processes and implemented a retail ordering platform that connected retail requirements with production and supplier execution, improving operational efficiency, collaboration and implementation consistency.

This allowed the team to move beyond managing individual projects and towards a repeatable model for international retail execution.

Brand identity.
Define what makes the brand distinctive.

Translate the Scotch & Soda DNA into a recognizable physical retail expression.

From creative idea to retail reality.

Seasonal story. Turn campaigns into retail narratives.

Connect seasonal campaigns and product priorities with the customer environment.

Creative development.
Create the visual expression.

Develop compelling retail and VM solutions that bring the brand story to life.

Production &supply. Build the infrastructure to deliver.

Develop supplier partnerships and scalable processes that turn creative direction into physical retail assets.

VM execution. Make the experience consistent in-store.

Enable markets and stores to translate the creative direction into a coherent retail experience.

The result.

The work strengthened the foundations for Scotch & Soda's international retail expansion while protecting the distinctive character and consistency of the brand experience. More importantly, it connected creative development, Visual Merchandising, production and operational execution into a more scalable way of working.

My leadership principle.

A strong retail brand is not created by design alone. It is created when brand, creativity, VM and operational excellence work as one system.
