Optimizing Retail Performance.

Connecting Visual Merchandising, Assortment & Commercial Performance.

During my time leading Retail Brand Presentation for Nike across Central Europe and Scandinavia, I focused on making Visual Merchandising work harder for both the customer and the business.

For me, effective VM was never simply about how the store looked. It was about understanding what the customer needed, what the business needed to sell, and how product, space and storytelling could bring those two together.

I worked across Merchandising, Allocation, Marketing, Retail Operations and Store Development to connect assortment priorities and product lifecycle with how products were presented, navigated and experienced in-store.

By combining customer insight with assortment strategy, space planning and consistent VM execution, I helped shift the focus from presentation towards retail productivity, consumer engagement and commercial performance contributing to sustained double-digit commercial growth across the Nike outlet and partner stores network.

COMMERCIAL STRATEGY.
Start with the business objective

Translate commercial and seasonal priorities into a clear VM direction aligned with consumer behavior and retail productivity.

ASSORTMENT & PRODUCT STORYTELLING.
Make the right product matter

Connect product lifecycle, category priorities and assortment with clear, compelling product stories.

SPACE & CUSTOMER JOURNEY.
Turn space into a commercial tool

Use placement, adjacencies and customer flow to improve product visibility, discovery and engagement.

EXECUTION AT SCALE.
Turn strategy into consistent market execution

Create standards and guidelines that enable consistent execution while allowing markets to respond to local opportunities.

PERFORMANCE & CONTINUOUS OPTIMISATION
Measure, learn and improve

Use customer response, retail performance and market feedback to continuously refine the experience.

The Principle.

Commercial strategy → Assortment → Product storytelling → Space → Customer journey → Performance

I see Visual Merchandising as a commercial discipline; connecting brand, product, space and customer behavior to create retail experiences that perform.
